Last Friday, 11-11-2022, we presented speeches on our research of our chosen subjects to the other students in ISM. It was a standard experience with few highlights, but I still enjoyed giving my speech, and I am pretty certain that others did too.
Like my introduction speech, I kept it casual and cracked jokes to keep up the mood. On Monday we had an infographic about which type of speaker/presenter we were, and I firmly believe I have a solid standing in being a "Coach", someone who enjoys presenting the subject and fosters audience interaction. My presentation actually had a major point in highlighting how I am turning from modding and Game Design into Virtual Production, along with the Research Interviews and other knowledge that I had attained from research.
I suppose the most lacking aspects I had in my presentation were the theme and slides, and they were mostly barebones; but I definitely made it up using my speaking and presenting. Instead of just reading from the slides, I asked questions, gave more information, and generally just interacted with the audience to ensure that everyone had a fun time.
The speech itself was about the change that Unreal Engine, a videogame engine, can bring to the film industry using LED screens which has several benefits over traditional methods of CGI or physical background props. In addition to being inexpensive, Unreal Engine can achieve what CGI is used for in films along with the added plus of having the actors see what is happening at that exact time, while CGI relies on adding in everything during post-production.
That said, I look forward to the next speech that I would give, and also the final product of my Original Work.
