When I began the process, I had no idea what I wanted to do, or what should even be done as my Original Work. Now, I am still pretty clueless on what my end product is, but I have confidence in the process to get there.
During my Thanksgiving break and other free time, I took a crack at Unreal Engine 5 even though it is still in Beta. It was definitely an experience to say the least, and I now understand why it is still in Beta. Every time I tried to use the erase tool on the landscape decides to turn into a epilepsy warning. Other than that, I also learnt the many aspects of Unreal Engine, such as the free assets, rendering, and its own built-in Virtual Production support.
Most importantly, I have the most rudimentary tools of Virtual Production at my disposal: a green screen, a camera, a computer, and the will and skill to combine everything into a single, finished product. Now I just have to make a plan on what to do, which is difficult in its own as I want it to be impressive, but I am still new to this process and therefore I wish to also keep it simple. I am afraid that it would not match my expectations, but I am also afraid that I would set my expectations too high.
Well, I suppose I will discover as I do.
