Broadening My View?

Hello again, today I had a meeting with my ISM teacher, Mr. Ray, and we discussed about the future of my ISM journey. So far, I have been focused on modding and other specific aspects of it, but right now I have met a roadblock; it seems that the topic I have chosen is too specific!

Modding itself is an unofficial and community driven effort which means many things. First, there are few "professionals" in the field as those who have a wealth of experience get hired by bigger companies and usually become game developers or work on a specific subject. Secondly, modding and User Generated Content are often done for free, and any profit made is through donations, thus another factor that limits the growth of the community.

Therefore, I am considering the idea of incorporating videogames itself into my topic, not just modding. Maybe a videogame that teaches lessons, that lets students actually be interested in the class topics? I felt that it had already been done but realized that the websites like Kahoot and GimKit are only classroom aides, and most videogames that attempt to incorporate education into it are... not well known.

What should I do? Currently I am trying to balance clubs, schoolwork, housework, extracurriculars, and college applications, so I will probably get back to this when I have time.

Also, a friend of mine suggested that I should include quotes with each blog post since he finds that they make the blogs sound much more professional. I'll follow his idea.
