Wesley Dennis

Mr. Dennis is currently a teacher at Independence High School in Frisco ISD and is responsible for the creation of the Esports club.

 

Mr. Dennis has worked in Frisco ISD since 2014 and has been in the educational field since 2004. During that time, he taught courses ranging from bible curriculums to  English to Computer Science and now teaches Esports and animation.

 

Possessing skills in animation, photoshop, and other software used in making posters and infographics such as Canva, Mr. Dennis also enjoys networking with others, specializing in the details and management of the Esports club.

 

Thanks to his leadership along with the efforts of the Esports club members, the Knights Esports teams were able to grasp both first and second place in Valorant and second place in League in the Vanta Fall Championship playoffs. The program also has four teams participating in the TexSEF state championship: Valorant, League of Legends and Overwatch 2.

 

Currently, Mr. Dennis seeks to deepen his understanding of Esports and video gaming as a whole, both by teaching lessons about Esports from the financial side to the consumer and product side, to trying out video games played by the Esports club members, ranging from Valorant, League of Legends, to Super Smash Bros.
